We are very excited about the upcoming 2012 season.  We will be fielding a JV and Varsity squads for both boys and girls, but due to the short GHSA season and limited practice space, spots may be limited.  Students that tryout must have an updated physical and parental consent, and must be academically eligible to participate. Additionally, students must sign the MHS Contract.
Tryouts have been good so far, when we have been able to play. More rain is anticipated this week, and because of this tryouts will be extended into next week. I will probably call certain players out to these sessions because of limited court space. Here are some of the modifications made for rain:
 Friday Jan. 27th will be from 4-6 at PTCTC.
Monday Jan. 30th will be at Glenloch from 4.15 to 5.30pm.
Tuesday (1-31) and Thursday (2-1) will be at the tennis center from 4.15-5.30.
Looking ahead, there are some important dates to mark on your calendar. On Monday Feb. 6th there will a FCA dinner at New Hope South, 6.30pm.  I need a commitment from the players that want to go; please let me know by Tuesday 1-31.  Also, we will have a “Meet the Chiefs” night at MHS on February 9 at 6.30. One parent/guardian and the student-athlete must attend this meeting.
